The Hudson River - Journey into the Wild

The 500km journey takes you along the Hudson River, which rises at Mount Marcy, New York's highest mountain, and makes its way through the largest national park in the USA, the Adirondacks, before finally flowing into the Atlantic Ocean in the global metropolis of New York City. The Hudson weaves through alpine wilderness, the iconic "Catskills", and the ancient fjords of the "Hudson Highlands". While bears and coyotes roam the dense and largely unexplored forests of the Hudson Valley, rare bird species breed on the cliffs of the Palisades on the southern bank of the river. The Manhattan skyline looms behind them. The documentary explores the river's diverse ecosystems and its unique landscapes, both above and beneath the water. One of the largest fish migrations in North America takes place every year where fresh water and salt water meet. "Hudson - Journey into the wild" is a cinematic journey on the wild tracks of the Hudson River, which ends in the urban jungle of the metropolis of NYC.
